Greand Canyon armchair geology

Art Chadwick (privately and very gently) took me to task for my amateurish
observations about the the Grand Canyon. He's right. Others who are
trained geologists have made similar observations, I believe, but I
personally am not qualified to make such judgments. I apologize to Art and
other geologists who may have been offended.

Art also told me about a paper he had presented at a geologists conference
in which he had challenged the conventional view about slow deposition of
the Tapeats Sandstone, apparently successfully (the group might be
interested in what you said, Art.) Art appears to be doing what I have
urged other creationists to do: instead of taking potshots at a field like
geology or biology from the sidelines, get involved in the field. Develop
your professional credentials by doing sound research and contribute useful
knowledge to the field. Then when you are in a position to challenge
conventional thinking people will listen.
