No. You could argue, however, that traces of wooden or metal tools
would not have survived; particularly since you are talking about a very
small number of people. Stone tools, unlike most other tools, are
practically indestructible.

However, you then have to explain why primitive stone tools start
appearing about 2.5 million years ago, and slowly increase in
sophistication between then and now.
