I spoke of the Apostle's Creed, but I understand your point.
There is a middle position between belief and rejection. Actually,
many middle positions.
My position is that I can assent to both the Apostle's Creed and the
ASA statement as beliefs I hold. Provisionally. That just means that
my Christian faith does not have any reliance on those statement; my
faith is in Jesus Christ. The statements just say how I understand
that faith.
