No I think it is a sign of things past and good riddance. If the ID community could restrain themselves from assuming that evidence for design necessarily means special creation and therefore opposing evolution, ID could be a positive thing that we could all support. As it stands now though, they force you to choose between the design inference and evolution bashing and I cannot sign up for that.
