Based on Jay Wylie's YEC textbook, that's merely what scientists claim
based on shaky theories. Only YEC, anti-GW, or pro-industry
scientific claims should be accepted uncritically (e.g. secondhand
smoke doesn't hurt you).
Seriously, although it is true that scientists often know very little
about things outside their specialties, scientific claims in other
fields are checked on how they do when dealing with topics that we do
know about. Whenever I run across non-conventional takes on global
warming, I find claims that I know are wrong. I therefore don't see
much reason to trust the rest of it, especially when the credibility
is also challenged by sources that do better on getting the facts
straight.
