My own TV is 90% the news, TCM movies and the new MLB channel. Some of
the channels above are OK -- but so many commercials! So I don't know
much about them or their viewers.

Likewise. THE SHACK was sort of interesting -- but the ideas there
were not new (to me). CS Lewis's THE GREAT DIVORCE is my favorite.

Not sure what you mean here. "literally create?" I was speaking of
flights of fancy, where things that could never be could still be
imagined. Such dreams CAN lead to later realities.

My own ancestor escaped the killings at St Bartholomew's so that's
part of my histoy too -- a little farther back than yours, of course.
Your comment reminded me of my own upbringing by parents who were
always aware of the less fortunate. "Remember the starving Armenians"
was drummed into my head long before I could understand what it meant.
