Bernie,
I'm not asking you to cite anything.
I'm pointing out that what you've said so far suggests to me a lack of familiarity with Dawkins' notion of the meme.
And I'm therefore suggesting that taking the time to remedy that lack of familiarity might help you spot the flaws in your argument without me wasting time regurgitating the written material which already exists.
Frankly, I don't CARE if you come around to my position on the meme or not, Bernie. I'm not trying to win an argument. Which is why I'm not going to waste my time chasing references. BUT you need to know that I am familiar enough with the material to spot an OBVIOUS weakness in your position.
Ultimately, I can only offer you my opinion, Bernie - and my opinion is that you should read Dawkins.
But if you have no respect for my opinion - nor that of David Opderbeck or Iain Strachan - then there's nothing really to add.
Either go and read Dawkins, or acknowledge that you don't give ten cents for my opinion.
Either way is good. Either way I'm done.
Blessings,
Murray

Why should I waste my valuable time trolling Dawkins' writings for quotes when it's apparent you haven't even done myself or the rest of the group the courtesy of reading the primary literature for yourself?
