For example, if humans were made unique and perfect, I'd expect no pseudogenes (non-functional genes inherited from lower life forms). If God made Adam biologically uniquely, there's no need to put "junk" in there (really copying errors from lower lifeforms). These pseudogenes, to me, prove descent from lower life forms. In the same way, if God created the universe from the big bang, one should expect the parameters He set, the cosmological constants, to be fine-tuned and having the best possible values. If, after study, we find that they are pretty much random values, just located in the viable set range, then it indicates the universe was made more randomly and not so special. If this is the case, God could still be making all the alternate universes, but it again changes the view that one has of God, and again makes Him more bigger, and probably more relationally distant, then envisioned b!

We are in no position to second-guess God just because He doesn't do
things the way we would. Nor are we in a position to decide what is
perfect. We can know His purposes only if He reveals them to us. His ways
and thoughts are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8,9). See also Romans
11:33,34.
