Re: [asa] Advice for conversing with YECs (and now the flood)

As a general principle on how to converse with YECs, the essential
starting points are theological and ethical. What does the Bible
actually say? Are creation science claims about the Bible accurate?
Can one legitimately disregard the 9th commandment? Does the support
by some creation scientists and ID folks for non-Christian religions
raise problems?

If you establish that you are a credible Christian source, you have a
much better chance of getting somewhere. Starting on the scientific
evidence is not likely to be the best place.
