I guess, my friend Moorad, that I would not use that phrase myself, at
least not purposefully, and neither would you. Yet I might use it "off
the cuff" as I am sort of "proud" to be a Presbyterian (sometimes). I
don't have any problem with it although your scriptural reference is
very much to the point.

In the end -- this is much ado about nothing.

On Rev Wright -- there was a very good (and sympathetic) article on
him in the Christian Century last summer. His remarks seem to have
been taken out of context, particularly by Hannity and Limbaugh. I am
pleased with John McCain's decision to not go there.

I am also pleased that all four of the candidates running are
committed Christians. I don't need to agree with them (or you) on all
issues to claim fellowship. That is also part of the attraction of
this ASA list.
