I hope the irony isn't totally lost on everyone, of just what this
series (under the 'ADVICE FOR CONVERSING WITH YECS' subject line) will
look like for posterity should anyone (yecs?) ever dig it up out of the
archives! (Lord forbid.) There is more than one post I've written in
the past that I'm glad have submerged into obscurity under truckloads of
other posts. Apparently, you all get your turns too!
By the way, Michael -- I'll weigh in with the others that telling
somebody else what they believe when they are right here and say
otherwise is well, just not right. I use a Bob-Jones chemistry text
for my high school students, and so maybe people might presume that I am
a young-earth creationist. In the absence of me saying or publishing
anything about it, they could be forgiven for the presumption. But if
they went about publically (or in any context) telling others what I
believe, then they had better drop their presumption and just ask me
directly first. Guilt by association just doesn't quite cover this
one. (Unless of course you have encountered something Moorad has
written that shows him to be presently duplicitous -- but then that
would be a different accusation.)
