None of that matters, because if God could do a miracle in bringing the animals there, He could also do all the other needed miracles.

I think the best bet is to focus on "creation science" and expose it.

I don't have any surefire advice on how to change the mind of a YEC. I
was taught it and read all the YEC material I could get my hands on. I
changed when, in grad school, I first read some original articles on
radioactive dating. I discovered that, at the outside, there could be a
factor of 2 or 3 maximum correction, not twice as many orders of
magnitude. I note that the new YEC (RATE) approach recognizes that the
total energy of radioactive decay during the existence of the earth is
what nonYEC scientists say it is, but that it was released in only two
pulses--one during creation week and one during the flood. One pulse
would raise the temperature of the earth to 24,000 K, but it was only 150
degrees on the basis of evidence they accept.

If someone is amenable to checking data, have him figure how much food
the Ark could carry along for the year of the flood (or year and a half
till something grew again) with one of every animal (or member of each
genus). The computations from YECs seems to assume the carrying capacity
of railroad cars, which can pull off on a siding to feed and water the
animals. Then another question that may be asked is how the koalas got
from Ararat to Australia feeding on eucalyptus leaves that do not grow
anyplace but Australia, along with managing to cross the deep straits.

How long would 2 or 7 herbivores last when challenged by wolves, cats and
other carnivores. Remember that this was post-fall. Etc.
