I had a look at the second link in your post below, and it gave cause for a chuckle.
The piece cites the author as saying;

I wasn't sure if that's a confirmation of Huiber's end-time speculations, or a validation of the Ark as God's back-up plan for information encoded in DNA, but either way it was amusingly ironic.
