Re: [asa] "Expelled" - is Ben Stein assuming Phil Johnson's mantle?

My sentiments exactly, Chuck, exactly.

I learned about this 3 weeks ago, at a small conference where I heard Ed
Larson talk about the history of antievolutionism. He showed us the clip.
My first thought was Michael Moore in reverse, and I really don't think very
much of Mr Moore or his films. But, "Flock of Dodos" wasn't as balanced as
it was trumpeted to be, either. This should at least be interesting.

Well, to the extent that "Expelled" helps defend academic freedom, it
will be helpful. To the extent that it promotes passion over
understanding, and incites anti-evolution activism based on
misinformation, I think Ben Stein's movie will be as balanced as, oh,
Michael Moore's - and as erudite as, oh, Ann Coulter's books. Just what
we need (not).
