And we have no reason to think that anyone was all that worried about
the exact date of the events or a detailed scientific interpretation
of the words of Genesis. The creation science reading reflects a
modern scientism-influenced view.

There are also a number of logical leaps concealed in the claiming of
NT examples in support of creation science interpretations. E.g.,
several passages suggest that the Flood was taken as an actual
historical event. However, this in no way shows that the NT supports
the claims of flood geology-affected all relevant humans and sudden,
inescapable onset are all that can be concluded with certainty from
the NT.
