I thought I'd pass this along for anyone interested.? The current free sample issue of the journal Social Studies of Science is devoted to articles on the Dover trial, and especially the testimony of social epistemologist Steven Fuller (Sociology Dept, Univ. of Warwick).? Fuller testified for the Dover school board, i.e., for ID.? It's an intriguing look at "in-house" squabbles regarding the propriety of social scientists testifying in court.
The discussion in part echoes some of the comments that have been made on this ASA list.? It won't be to everyone's taste, but it may interest some of us.
