Hi Bill,
Your stellar aberration ideas are interesting. Stellar aberration is a great argument for the Earth's motion. It was discovered prior to Bradley’s discovery of parallax in 1729, though stellar aberration news fell on seemingly deaf ears, IIRC.

Unfortunately, a modified Tychonian model, with ellipses, will explain these aberration differences between observers – assuming the Geocentrists use it.

However, if the Geocentrists are arguing from a modified Ptolemaic model, they have problems. The first problem you can give them is where will the place the true center. The Earth-Moon barycenter presents a problem for them, as well as, the Sun - Earth barycenter. [The Earth- Moon motion about their barycenter should also produce a very tiny aberration, too, I suppose.]

Another problem arguing against geocentrism comes from General Relativity: GR allows the geocentric model. NASA uses this model often, too. It is an easier model for simple low Earth orbital mechanics.

However, GR does not allow the Geocentric model -- which says the Earth is the absolute center -- as GR argues that there is no absolute center, as all are relative. [This does not mean that GR argues against all absolutes, as it does just the opposite for the behavior of physics in other frames.] Unfortunately, that is something I have learned from scientists, and not because I understand GR.

There is a better argument against Geocentrism, however. Astronomers can measure the angular movement of the Earth relative to distant quasars to an accuracy of about 20 milliarcseconds, IIRC. There is a continuous program that monitors the Earth's minute changes to its rotation rate: IRES [http://www.iers.org/MainDisp.csl?pid=163-253]

The "immovable" Earth is constantly moving by twisting back and forth due to primarily air mass current changes. The 2004 tsunami produced a change that was measurable by IRES, too.

Though lengthy, there is a thread debunking the Galileo Was Wrong supporters at bautforum.com: http://www.bautforum.com/against-mainstream/47291-galileo-wrong.html

  Hope this helps.

  Helio George
