This doesn't address the question of what their genetics project aims
to do, except indirectly in that it uses assorted falsehoods (no
transitional forms, evolution not ongoing, 2nd law of thermodynamics
versus evolution, etc.) to deny evolution.

The author is identified as associated with the Cassini project at
JPL, but as he seems to have confused "rains sulfuric acid" and "hot
enough to melt lead", I hope his role in the Cassini project is minor.
(The young-earth argument in this is the claim that because Venus's
surface is geologically young [though the cited statistics would still
imply way older than ICR wants], it supports a recent creation model.
Not to mention that this is only surprising in contrast to the clearly
ancient surfaces of most solid objects in the solar system, and is
expected on a planet that has weather and/or significant volcanism,
both of which Venus has.)
