Yes, they seemed disappointed I didn't have migraines since that would have helped bolster their case! Ironically, the connection with migraines has data but no good theory while the connection with strokes seems to have a plausible theory but only circumstantial data.
Seems good to have differing opinions out there--that drives careful study (we hope) which leads to better data.

Well I am a neurologist and I vote with the neurologist that saw you, along with my cardiologist friend.
There is some evidence that PFO closure helps with migraine headaches though, so if you had a problem with those before you should be better now.
