As you should see, if the authors merely criticized Israel of its many
obvious faults and didn't fall into conspiracy theories I would be on their side.
They don't fall into "conspiracy theories." That's precisely the epithet
people are charged with when they examine Israel or Judaism objectively and it's
wrong. You can see that these two men are scholars, so why would they risk
their reputations and their livelihood to spin "conspiracy theories?" You make it
sound as if both of them suddenly decided to be kooks after a lifetime of
excellence in academics.
What's interesting is that Dershowitz's book Chutzpah is specifically about
the fact that now that Jews have power they should wield it. That's what his
book is literally about and yet he denies that AIPAC wields any real power and
smears these two scholars.
This denial is happening in ALL academic fields and in all venues.
The exchange below is between Kevin MacDonald and Steven Pinker.
Pinker:
1. By stating that Jews promulgate scientific hypotheses because they are
Jewish, he is engaging in ad hominem argumentation that is outside the bounds of
normal scientific discourse and an obvious waste of time to engage. MacDonald
has already announced that I will reject his ideas because I am Jewish, so
what's the point of replying to them?
MacDonald:
This is ridiculous. In Culture of Critique I make it clear that in order to
be considered as a Jew who is participating in a Jewish intellectual movement,
the person must have a Jewish identification and must regard their involvement
in the movement as advancing specific Jewish interests.
You can read the whole exchange on MacDonald's website.

I attended HBES2000, the annual meeting of the Human Behavior and Evolution
Society and watched it happen myself.
Professor MacDonald posted my account on his website:

What does this have to do with religion and science? They're smearing
MacDonald's work because it scientifically identifies the processes of the
anti-Semitic cycle and the true nature of the old covenant (I would think this would be
of vital interest to this group) and explains how it is that Christianity is
on the defensive in the West.
