Re: global dimming vs global warming

I too watched the PBS program, and was surprised.
Here I see a definite turn in the strategy of Global Warming Watchdogs.

1. No mention of the Kyoto Treaty, which would have given Developing
Countries a free ride for pollutiion contributions, and heavily penalized
the USA.

2. Emphasis on the air pollution caused by India and China

3. Statements that the USA is doing a pretty good job of cleaning up
particulate emissions.

4. I don't recall any reminders that the USA consumes more than its per-
capita share of petroleum.

5. As usual, no mention that Nuclear Energy will eliminate the CO2 emission,
in generating electricity. No mention of Nuclear Energy.

6. No suggestions about what to do. Just worry.

I don't know how many of you saw the brouhaha about Prof. Pianka's
suggestions that the world's population is the real problen, which could
easily be taken care of if Ebola virus were sprayed around, killing 90% of
US.
