Uh, I don't know other than you took my first quote and took every reference
to Rush and replaced it with Jesus? My reply is that you cannot do that with
my quote because the reason why we shouldn't impute motives is that we don't
have perfect understanding of other's motives as Jesus did.

Ludicrous, spiritually immature legalists will even accuse Jesus Christ,

My call was for introspection to see if WE break the commandments, not
others. I was using Rush as an example for us to avoid because he is quick
to assume what motivates people and he is also quick to ridicule people. But
this isn't about Rush, it is about us. Those of use who call ourselves
Christians should be slow to judge and never ridicule.

As it has been become evident that I have not been clear let me risk boring
others and repeat myself. When in the realm of political discourse there is
a temptation to impute negative motives and ridicule our political opponent.
This is especially strong when we ourselves have been falsely accused. This
is for both big-p and little-p politics. Scripture teaches us that we should
show discretion and withhold negative judgment until the evidence is
overwhelming. For example, 1 Cor. 6 teaches us it is better to be defrauded
than for Christians to sue and accuse each other. People who follow this are
not unprincipled wimps but rather those who are seeking to be obedient to
our Lord. Got it?
