This may get at the heart of it. We need to find better ways to teach
the concepts of evolution, and we need to be able to address honest
confusion and concerns of students who have been told many things,
most of which are distortions of the facts.

But I think there is something more. We need to look for ways in which
evolution applies to everyone's way of living, not just some strange
scientists who have funny ideas.

There are students who just want to disrupt class, and this is one of
easiest ways to do it (I remember). But we should not take every call for
"what is this good for?", and every "those evil scientists!" the same way
from inexperienced young adults, the same way as ones those who have
an ax to grind.

by Grace we proceed,
Wayne
