For this question I would suggest consulting David Griffin's book,
_Reenchantment without Supernaturalism_ (Ithaca: Cornell U P, 2001) and look
in the index for "prehension." As Griffin uses the term, prehension is a
broader category than perception and need not be a conscious experience.
