I don't necessarily disagree with tolerance as an expression of God's grace. I do
disagree with the characterization of Character First as an organization not
asociated with religion. On the contrary, it is an offshoot of Bill Gothard's Institute
for Basic Life Principles, a extremely controversial, radical evangelical (some
would say cultic) Christian organization. CF is essentially Gothard's teachings
stripped of their Bibical references, presumably to make the program more
palatable to public schools and other organizations who do not want to or cannot
    explicitly endorse Christianity.

Extensive information about Gothard and his organization can be found at

After viewing some of Gothard's "scripturally based" medical teachings (http://
www.midwestoutreach.org/journals/mystical_approach.htm) I have to conclude he
is no friend to science or Christianity.
