Moderation

Sometimes it seems like the Bible is saying opposite things. "Be good!" "You
don't have to be good for me to love you." "Don't seek riches." "I'll give
you everything if you serve me." "I have raised you up." "Don't think
yourself better than your brother. He who wants to be greatest needs to be
    least."

These might sound contradictory to me - except I am a mother. Moderation is
    hard to teach.

If we serve riches, greed will eat us alive and steal our soul.

If we live in constant pennance, poverty and guilt we will never be truly
usable as a child of God.

If we seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness - we really don't
need to debate anything. He'll take care of everything.

(But, I personally am quite certain that that will include exalting some
Christians to positions of great leadership - and that will frequently mean
that they will also have great wealth.)
