Romans 5:
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that
TRIBULATION worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our
hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
I just read that the gifts of God are like the ingredients of a cake - oil,
salt and flour don't taste very good separately - but they do when put in
the fire (definitely a biblical reference) and baked into a cake.
It also says seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and all these things shall be
added unto you - the things being the wealth and health.
I listen to Joyce Meyer, also. My mother loves Kenneth Copeland. I like
Kenneth Hagin. If we talk to God about EVERYTHING - everything is going to
shine for it. We don't. It's not a case of the bad things being punishment.
It's a case of soliciting, and receiving God's divine intervention. Kenneth
Hagin's ministry is based on that. He's got at least the third generation
merrily working along in a healing ministry. Prosperity and miracles abound.
These things are real. I see and have seen and have experienced this kind of
victory. But, you have to be on the God track ev er ee hour of ev er ee day.
Joyce Meyer's minstry is largely based on talking about how she WASN'T
experiencing victory and why - and how it's different now.
Victory is a free gift - but the instruction manual takes a PhD and a
fork-lift. Fortunately God gives partial credit.

So, if a person finds herself in ill-health and/or financial despair, must
she conclude that God, in His infinite wisdom and boundless love, has chosen
not to give her the gifts of health, wealth, and prosperity?

Oh, but I do believe in the errancy of the Bible; you can bet your last
God-given dollar on that!
