Today the calendar of the Lutheran Book of Worship lists the
commemorations of scientists Nicolaus Copernicus (+1543) and Leonhard
Euler (+1783). Everybody has heard of Copernicus & all mathematicians &
physicists know of Euler. (It would be interesting to have a list of
all the "Euler equations" - I can think of 4 off the top of my head.
Remembering scientists who have been Christians in, e.g., the
Prayers of the Church on Sunday is one low key way of helping to
overcome the idea that science & Christianity are at war. Many other
names could be mentioned - Maxwell, Pascal, Leavitt, Compton, Mendel,
    Teilhard, &c.

    Shalom,

    George
