A change of subject but I believe an important one - the quoted
statement is
mistaken. We must know God first as Redeemer. Israel did - the 10
Commandments
begin "I am YHWH your God _who brought you out of the land of Egypt_ (not 'who
created the universe')- you shall have no other gods." & the Christian
understanding of God should begin with God's revelation in the cross. "True
theology and the recognition of God are in the crucified Christ."
Beginning with
creation is the source of many of the problems in science-theology discussions.
