>(2) Passmore also contends that if humanity is to image God, then
>humanity is to nature as God is to humanity. This suggest that
>nature is humanity's servant as humanity is God's servant, thus
>leaving Christianity open to Lyn White Jr's accusation that nature

The passages on proper rule in the Bible contradict the
interpretation of our rule over creation as license. Note especially
the example of Christ, Who came to serve. In addition, there are
numerous passages (e.g., Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles) that provide
guidelines on good or bad rule. In fact, we are responsible for the
parts of creation under our care (e.g., if our oxen get violent).
