In the past, we have occasionally mentioned "Biblical archaeology" on this
list, and comments have been made that a substantial fraction of it is of
quite low quality.
Dr. Bryant Wood of the Associates for Biblical Research is speaking to a
couple of classes at my church next month (about Jehrico, and about Sodom &
Gomorrah). I wonder if anybody here knows whether his work is reputable or
in the low-quality category. What I have found in a brief Web search is not
very encouraging -- his organization appears to be connected to Clifford
Wilson, and Wilson has had substantial connections to "Dr." Carl Baugh. But
I'd rather have a more informed opinion than this guilt by association.
