I agree with Howard Van Till, that we need to block access to the list in
extraordinary situations. And we have one or two right now, IMO.
I am not (myself) interested in a listserve in which participants have to
make a barrage of posts, repeating the same points, in response to those who
make ridiculous claims that purport to be legitimate responses. I don't
have time for that type of thing. In addition, I make an effort *not* to
post to this listserve unless I think I have an original/important
contribution to make. This means I don't post (say) a dozen messages/week
without clear justification.
We need to start blocking access. Or I will have to start dropping out.
