By theoretically useful, I meant proteins that would have been useful had they evolved, whether or not it is feasible for them to evolve.
Although we certainly do not have good evidence for any other biospheres, is there any reason (for example) why a system with completely reversed chirality to ours would not work? If many starting points can lead to working biospheres, then they would be easier to produce.
