Very often news reports in both Christian and secular media portray old
earth views and the Big Bang Theory as if they were due to Darwin's
theory of evolution, even though old earth views preceded Darwin, and the
success of Darwin's theory may have predisposed many not to welcome the
Big Bang Theory. This is another indication of the influence of the YEC's.
