    Greetings:

A couple of weeks ago, I placed before you a copy of Bill Dembski's essay Is Intelligent Design Testable? asking that you evaluate it as a response to Eugenie Scott earlier comments and, more broadly,
to comment on ID after a decade or so in the public eye. There were numerous responses which I have
    placed within the original article.

This document and a short recent piece by Bruce Gordon, "Intelligent Design Movement Struggles with Identity Crisis" are found on the ASA web home page as The state of Intelligent Design Jan. 2001

This is a first 'list experiment' to summarize comments on 'significant' ideas or papers. I have decided not to include the names of the commentators in the summary document. There are those who argue that off-the-cuff comments on published (refereed?) papers are trivial. I think that we do better than that (most of the time). What do you think?

    With appreciation,
    Jack Haas
