Bill Payne commented, after I'd pointed out Stephen's speech,
"But in chapter 3, Luke works his way back to Adam, the son of God."
Fair answer. Stephen was speaking to the Sanhedrin Jews; Luke to
a Greek (I suppose) correspondent. Perhaps the audience difference is
significant.
In any case, it was an "aside" comment and not really an argument in
itself.
