    Does this include dating someone whose DNA coalescence time differs greatly from one's own?

    Seriously, not having immediate access to his publications, could you give a general idea of what techniques, etc.? Some dating techniques are indeed doubtful whereas others seem quite well-founded.

    Incidentally, even if the mitochondrial and Y bottlenecks are correctly associated with Eden or the Flood, there is a chance that the identity of the individual is incorrect. For example, if only one of Eve's daughters had daughters, then the mitochondrial "Eve" would be Eve Jr.
