ID advocates often state that ID need not imply God. There seems to be
good evidence that the general public, Christian and otherwise does
not perceive this to be the case.

I encountered one more piece of evidence that few, if any, outside ID
understand this to be the case when my netscape browser came up to
amazon.com. It showed for a Quick Pick "Darwin's Black Box", and
begins with the statement, "Michael J. Behe, a biochemist at Lehigh
University, presents here a specific argument for the existence of
    God."
