POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Natural Science Division at LeTourneau University invites
applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position in physics.
Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate General and University
Physics, some upper-level physics classes, and supervising all physics
labs and supervising undergraduate research.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's Degree in physics or a related discipline is required.
Applicants must possess a strong interest and commitment to teaching at
the undergraduate level. The successful individual must be able to
communicate subject material and have a proven ability to relate to
students and faculty. The candidate must be able to work as part of a
team instructional effort. LeTourneau University seeks a successful
educator with a maturing and enthusiastic Christian faith and a commitment
to the mission of an evangelical, residential Christian university.
SALARY
Rank and salary is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
LeTourneau University provides a significant benefit package which
includes medical and life insurance and contribution to a retirement
program. The position is for nine months, with the possibility of summer
school teaching.
