As I pointed out on my other post tonight, dowsing is congruent with my
understanding of the works of Satan as seen in Scripture. If the
Christian community were to accept only that which has been empirically
verified and rigorously apply this standard across the board, no one's
testimony of their salvation experience would be accepted, nor would
much of what is in the Bible, e.g. the virgin birth of Jesus and the
resurrection. I know you accept the Scripture as inspired, Burgy, but I
am concerned as to how to project your position - where would we draw
the line? Of course, Will Provine would agree with you and draw no
line.
I think we should allow for eye witness testimony, corroborated by
others, as valid evidence. After all, that testimony is sufficient in a
court of law to send a suspect to his death - right Phil?
