>>As you may have gathered from an earlier post I made from work today,
my
definition of "zygote" is a "fertilized egg" or "one-celled embryo."
Those are
pretty standard definitions that you would find in any developmental
biology
textbook. I don't find the transition between the use of the terms
"embryo" and
"fetus" to be terribly meaningful when it comes to ethics. It is a
fairly
arbitrary designation, as far as I am concerned. I prefer to think of a
continuum of human development that begins with the zygote and continues
even
after birth until adulthood, and some might argue, even until death.>>
I'll accept your claim about the definitions, as a biology book is likely
to be more accurate than even an unabridged dictionary. As a matter of
fact, I don't disagree with anything you've said in the above! (Sorry,
lurkers).
Thanks.
