Schimmrich for a nicely stated response to Pigliucci. He makes many of
the points I was planning to make. The only revision I would suggest is
in the 4th paragraph where "rationalism" is discussed. It might be a
good idea to spell out the distinction between methodological naturalism
and full blown materialism. Otherwise there is a risk that the objection
will be misunderstood as a resistance to methodological naturalism as
central to science. That would be unfortunate and might even make
subsequent points go unnoticed.
