It is difficult to decide from Oard's critiques of uniformitarian theories
just what his own theory is. However, statements such as `Summer must be
drastically colder' lead me to wonder if he proposes to get rid of summer.
If so, I wonder whether he is in a position to accuse others of not taking
Genesis 1-11 seriously. Shortly after the Flood, the Lord promised Noah,
"While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
And cold and heat,
And summer and winter,
And day and night,
Shall not cease.' (Gen. 8:22)
