I apologize to Keith for my offensive way of expressing myself.
What I am trying to say is that we all, myself first and foremost, tend
to organize data to fit what we expect to see. For instance, the box
below can be seen as viewed from the top down or from the bottom up
(it's easier to see if redrawn with solid lines). It's fairly easy to
"see" it one way or the other, but difficult to see it both ways at once
- our brain can't assimilate both views simultaneously.

We sometimes inadvertently do the same with our models of origins. I'm
just trying to force us to look outside the box.
