According to Haley's Bible Handbook (p. 49 of the 24th edition), the "Weld
Dynastic Prism" a clay tablet found in 1922 by the Weld-Blundell Expedition
at Larsa, a few miles north of Ur, which was written about 2000 BC by a
scribe named Nur-Ninsubur, gives a list of kings from the beginning of
mankind to his own time, including the 10 long-lived pre-flood "kings".
As I remember from some other source (which I don't have at the moment),
the ages or reigns of these kings were much longer than the Biblical, in
the range of 60,000 years, according to the translators. Fredrick Filby in
a book called "The Flood Reconsidered" discusses other instances of
long-lived patriarchs, and also sources of error in translating the
notation for the actual number of years the persons lived.
