In researching the life Alfred Wegener of Continental Drift fame I've come
across the fact that his uncle - Carl Ludwig Wegener - was a 'missionary in
Chicago' in the 19th Century. (He died 1873).

If anybody in their church histories have any information about this man. I
would be grateful to hear from you.

(also of Alfred's father, Riohard who was a theologian in Germany)
