Even on that point we disagree. I, and other calvinists, believe that
nothing happens on this earth outside God's will. Of course, the
background of the difference is the old controversy between Calvinists and
Arminians. Much has been written about that since Luther wrote about The
Bondage of Will, against Erasmus who proposed free will. I forgot the
title of Erasmus' essay. I don't think it is worth while to haave a
debate about that. I spoke about that background at the eighth conference
on Mathematics from a Christian Perspective at Wheaton College in 1991.
Gene Chase of Messiah College talked about that background too. Maybe
someone in your neighbourhood has the proceedings of that conference.
