One route is via 'thoughtful,' 'non-flaming,' 'short,' letters to the editor
that include your professional address or at least your title. If 25, 50,
or 100 of us would write World, CT, CT Book Reviews - anywhere this stuff
appears - the magazine will print some of them. If only one person writes,
a negative note, they may be more easily ignored. It is very helpful when
these articles are mentioned on this list.
Also, we should be willing to stand up in the question period at Johnson
lectures and make our response along the lines suggested above.
