I read one commentator who did not seem bent on denying the miraculous but
suggested that this passage could be read as God's granting exceptionally
good weather rather than any unusual duration of the day. (Presumably this
also applies to Habakkuk's allusion to this incident.) Do any of you know
any more about this? Such a reading would be an additional flaw in this
old claim.
