_Christianity Today_ for Jan. 6, 1997 has two pieces about Intelligent
Design.

An editorial by David Neff (pp. 18-19) is titled: "The Pope, The Press,
and Evolution - When the media seized on John Paul II's statement, they
not only missed his main point, they missed a wider story." Neff cites
several scholars who challenge Darwinian evolution and the naturalistic
worldview. He says, "Biochemist Michael Behe has demolished the idea
that complex biological structures could possibly happen by means of
gradual accretions of random mutations chosen and preserved by natural
selection."

In the News section (pp. 64-65), Scott Swanson reports on the Mere
Creation conference held at Biola U. in November. He quotes several
participants, including some ASAers.
